CLAY Festival, taking place from July 23-31, prides itself in being an inclusive event and offers fun for the whole family, including the kids! This year's festival will include a number of different ways for young people to join in on the festivities. See below for a schedule of upcoming kid-friendly events at this year's festival!

Kids CLAY RS

Clay Fun.
Etch Mimbres designs on Play-Doh pots or plates. All ages.
Saturday, July 23, 10:30am-12pm. Silver City Museum, 312 W. Broadway, Silver City.

CLAYplay with Beth Menczer.
Engage in hands-on clay projects highlighting cross-cultural exchange and history. Attend one or more days. Grades 3-6.
Monday, July 25, 10-11:30am and 1-3pm. Gila Valley Library, 400 NM-211, Gila.

CLAYplay with Zoe Wolfe.
Engage in hands-on clay projects highlighting cross-cultural exchange and history. Attend one or more days. Grades 3-6.
Monday, July 25 through Thursday, July 28, 2-3:30pm. Silver City Public Library, 515 W. College Avenue, Silver City.

CLAYplay with Kathryn Allen.
Engage in hands-on clay projects highlighting cross-cultural exchange and history. Attend one or more days. Grades 3-6.
Tuesday, July 26 through Friday, July 29, 2-3:30pm. Bayard Public Library, 1112 Central Avenue, Bayard.

CLAY Film Festival.
Kids will be delighted by a selection of new and classic, short claymation films.

Mud Fun!
A free-form mud sculpture area for kids. Grades Pre-K to 6. Children cannot be left unattended.
Saturday, July 30, 9am-3pm. 614 N. Bullard Street, Silver City.

Clay Building at Guadalupe Montessori School.
A clay building work day to continue/complete a cob bench and oven. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.
Saturday, July 30, 9am-4pm. 1731 N. Alabama Street, Silver City.

Mud Pie Contest.
Make a mud-inspired treat in a pie plate. Judging at 10am. All ages.
Saturday, July 30, 9:30-11am. Silver City Farmers' Market, 614 N. Bullard Street, Silver City.

Arte Para Todos.
Children and their families are invited to create imaginative clay-based projects with the Mimbres Region Arts Council at the CLAYfest Market.
Saturday, July 30, 10am-4pm. 400 N. Bullard Street, Silver City.

CLAY in the Streets.
Live music, dancing, activity tables, beer garden, and art for the whole family to enjoy.
