On Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 5:30pm, the next in the series of public forums at WNMU's Miller Library will be a debate among the candidates for the three open seats on the Grant County Commission.

Entitled "Debating the Future Direction of Grant County," the panel will be moderated by Abe Villarreal, WNMU Director of Communications. All of the announced candidates will participate:

"This is the beginning of our fifth year of presenting these forums," announced Frances Vasquez, chair of the Grant County Democratic Party, which along with the Miller Library and WNMU's MEChA student organization has sponsored these public events. "The expansion of the County Commission to five positions, which we heartily endorsed, gives the residents of Districts 3, 4, and 5 the opportunity to choose three new commissioners at once. As always, we are thrilled to be able to give voters the chance to learn more about the candidates seeking these important jobs."

Everyone is invited to come hear from the candidates, stay to converse with them after the panel, and enjoy the refreshments served following the forum.
