Baking Contest Rules

Two age groups, youths (18 years and younger) and adults (older than 18 years of age)

No cream, custard, or meat pies; no whipped cream or cream cheese. No highly perishable food items.

Bring your best pie or cake to the Grant County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall between 2 and 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23.

Judging will begin at 4 p.m. Entries will be judged on:

Overall appearance (25 points)

Flavor and consistency (25 points)

Originality (25 points)

Made from scratch (25 points)

Prizes awarded by age group and category

1st $50

2nd $25

3rd $10
