Pictured is costumed craft vendor at 2015 Dias de los Muertos event.The 2016 Silver City Dias de los Muertos is a collaborative event of the Silver City Art Association, the Green Chamber, Mimbres Region Arts Council, Western New Mexico University, Mainstreet, the Arts and Cultural District and other community members. This year the event is growing bigger and better than ever! Artisans and food vendor applications are now being accepted for the big kick-off day of remembrance and celebration taking place on Sunday, October 30TH from 12: 30 p.m till 6:00 p.m.

Headquartered on Market and Texas Streets, there will be activities for children of all ages, crafts, art, mariachi music, story tellers, food , a parade and much, much more! Food vendors must comply with the New Mexico Department of Health standards and have their temporary license. Artisans will only be permitted to sell Dias de los Muertos themed arts and crafts.
