Lights! Camera! Action! The Silver Screen Festival is coming your way Sunday, March 12, 2017. Films from the Las Cruces International Film Festival, www.lciffest.com, will be shown at the Silco Theatre in downtown Silver City, NM, and at Light Hall on the campus of Western New Mexico University. All the LCIF movies are independently produced and many have well-known actors.

Filmmakers will introduce their creations and also attend a reception Sunday evening at the WNMU President's residence. The public is invited to attend; however, tickets are limited.

Another fund-raising event is a VIP raffle. The lucky winner(s) is entitled to attend the Las Cruces International Film Festival (March 8-12) as very important person(s). The prize includes Champagne Brunch at the historic Double Eagle Restaurant in Mesilla, access to all screenings (over 40 films will be shown), evening receptions including buffets at La Posta Restaurant, Hotel Encantado and NMSU Golf Course Clubhouse, and a VIP luncheon with "Big Bang Theory" star Johnny Galecki. Raffle tickets will be sold at these locations: Gila Hike and Bike, Silver City Visitors' Center, Silco Theatre and Hunter Hall at WNMU. The drawing will be held February 22. Only 100 tickets ($10 each) will be sold.

The Rotary Club of Silver City presents this event in conjunction with WNMU. Additional community support would strengthen the foundation of this premier event. Various levels of sponsorship packages are available. News releases with more detailed information shall be forthcoming.
