The Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce announced there will be an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Grant County Veteran's Memorial Business and Conference Center on Thursday - June 8, 2017. The open house will run from 3 to 7 p.m. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held in the main lobby at 3:30 p.m.

“We will open the doors to all the rooms to let everyone see this wonderful facility”, said Scott Terry, president of the local chamber of commerce. "Everyone who has seen the facility is blown away by how nice it is... mainly if they remember the old conference center.”

The newly remodeled building has over 20,000 sq. ft. of rentable space that includes: a large ballroom with stage, a small ballroom, five training classrooms, a multi-purpose area near the prep kitchen, a second multi-purpose room, a conference room, an office space, the main lobby, a green room, an archery room, patio space, even the parking lot can be rented for outdoor events, and the facility houses the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce offices.

The American Legion Honor Guard will assist at the ribbon cutting event by presenting the colors in the main lobby next to the military emblems wall.

The Grant County Veteran's Memorial Business & Conference Center is located at 3031 Highway 180 East in Silver City. Usual office business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
