Silver City, NM - The CLAY Festival Mud Pie Contest is your opportunity to showcase your favorite mud-inspired treat and win a prize! This contest is open to all - simply bring your dessert in a pie dish to be taste-tested by CLAY Festival judges on Saturday, July 29 at 10am in front of the Market Café at 614 N Bullard Street in downtown Silver City.

The Mud Pie Contest takes place at the same time as Mud Fun! for kids, the CLAYFest Market, and the Silver City Farmer's Market - all at the North end of Bullard Street on Saturday, July 29 between 10am-4pm. Mud Fun! (10am-1pm) will be an opportunity for kids to explore their creativity and get their hands dirty with a free-form sculpture opportunity sponsored by Lawley Toyota. Kids and adults can take a whirl at throwing on the wheel for 5-10 minutes at the demonstration tent at the CLAYFest Market. CLAY artists will be demonstrating wheel-throwing and selling Mata Ortiz pottery, Jicarilla Apache tradition micaceous clay vessels, Raku, sculptural works, mixed media, and handmade tile.

Come out on Saturday, July 29 for many opportunities to enjoy CLAY!
