On Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, a Community Dance (Breaking Up Christmas) with the Big Ditch Crickets, The Fiddle Club, Fiddling Friends and other special guests will be held fromĀ 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the old Elks Lodge, 315 N.Texas St., Silver City, NM.

Suggested donation $5.00. Children under 12 - FREE.

The Big Ditch Crickets have been playing together for more than a year now. Their main focus is to play good dance music for our Community to dance to. Their motto is "EASY and FUN!"

These Community Dances are for all ages. All the dances are taught, and you do not need a partner. There will be Contra and Square Dances, Circle dances, Old Spanish Colonial dances like the Broom Dance and The Handkerchief Dance, and La Cuna, and of course Waltzes, Schottisches and Polkas. It is a lot of fun.
