Explora’s Family Science Event is coming to the Silver City Public Library. Come to the library at 515 W. College Avenue on Wednesday, January 15 between 3:00pm and 5:00pm for interactive science exhibits for all ages!  Come when you can, explore together, and leave when you need to.

This visit from Explora is the first in a series of science-oriented programs for all ages at the library during 2014.  The library encourages participants in the Explora Family Science Event to ask a librarian about the Pushing the Limits reading, viewing, and discussion series for adults. The Pushing the Limits series will be happening at the library from February through May and is funded with a grant from the National Science Foundation. Discussions will focus on four popular books and themes of survival, knowledge, connection, and nature.  Sign-up for the discussions is open now.

The library is also looking forward to the 2014 Summer Reading Program for children and youth, which will have the science theme “Fizz, Boom, Read!”

Contact Lillian Galloway at the library at 538-3672 for more details.
