Area children are invited by the Silver City Kiwanis Club to a free Easter Egg Hunt in Penny Park on Saturday, April 19, from 9:30 till noon. There will be 1,000 plastic eggs filled with candy plus many special prize eggs. The hunt will be staged by ages, with 4 and under at 9:30, 5- and 6-year olds at 10 a.m., ages 7 and 8 at 10:30, ages 9,10 and 11 at 11 a.m. and at 11:30 children ages 12 and over will have their hunt.. Children participating in the Easter Egg Hunt are asked to bring their own baskets.

A very special guest at the 2014 Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt will be a giant Easter Bunny. Photos of children or the whole family with the Easter Bunny, taken by FeVa Fotos and mounted in a commemorative folder, will be available for $5 with the proceeds going to the many Kiwanis projects for area children. To add to the fun there will also be free face painting by Kiwanis Key Club members.

The Silver City Kiwanis Club supports the Terrific Kids and K-Kids for elementary school children, Builders Club in middle school, Key Club for High School students, CKI for college students and Aktion Club for adults with disabilities.
