The local Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 1 in Grant County had its annual elections this month. The newly elected officers are, from left, Cliff Tavernier (Sr. Vice Commander), Charles Deming (Treasurer/Adjutant), Manuel Portillo (1st Jr. Vice Commander/Master At Arms), Reggie Price (District Commander), and Bryant Jamison (Commander).

The DAV will hold a Mother's Day Steak Dinner on May 10, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the VFW post in Arenas Valley.
