The SWNM Transition Center (SWNMTC), Inc. would like to invite the community to their first annual Veterans Ball on June 14, 2014. The SWNMTC's goal is to assist homeless veteran and others, and has been active with food and clothing distributions. The gala will be at Western New Mexico University's Mustang Dining Hall ( 2nd floor in the Student Memorial Building), in Silver City.

The Veteran's Ball will be an elegant affair and tickets are $55 (donation) per person. The meal will be a choice of prime rib or chicken cordon bleu. The event will commence at 6pm with a social hour, and dinner at 7pm. The guest speaker for the evening will be Deming native Juan Dominguez, a U.S. Marine Corps disabled (triple amputee) combat veteran (Afghanistan). A DJ will provide musical entertainment all evening and dancing to follow after the festivities.
