Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest  will be holding a workshop “It’s Fun To Be Me” for girls that were in grades 1 through 5 for the last school year.

Girls will learn about self-esteem, how to make friends and keep them and what good deeds are. This will be held at the Girl Scout Office at 302 West 11th Street, in Silver City, on July 29 through 31 from 10:00 to 11:30. Each day we will also be making different  crafts such as chap stick, working with color changing beads, and decorating water bottles.

Space is limited to 25 and is free of charge. Girls can attend one day or all three. By attending these workshops, girls will gain a strong sense of self and develop practical life skills. Participants will receive a t-shirt and patch for attending. Workshops are open to all registered and non-registered Girl Scouts. Please RSVP to Annette Toney 538-2481 by noon on July 28, 2014.
