Visitors this weekend to the Grant County Art Guild's Pinos Altos Art Gallery will experience some exceptional painters showing their latest work. This is a great time to see local art at its best.

On Friday, August 22, local artist and long time guild member, Ruth Hamby, will be the featured artist at the gallery. She paints in oils and watercolor. Stop in and let Ruth show you what new art she has been creating.

The featured artist on Saturday, August 23, is Ginna Heiden. Ginna's paintings have drawn the attention of visitors to the gallery and picked up winning ribbons from the judge at our opening show of the season. Ginna paints in oils and acrylics.

Rita Sherwood is our newest Guild member and is well-known in our area for the creative talent in her paintings. She paints in oil, acrylic, watercolor as well as mixed media. Rita has generously shared her expertise and knowledge in art with the community through the classes she has taught locally. Rita will be at the gallery to talk to you about her work on Sunday, August 24.

The Pinos Altos Art Gallery is located at 14 Golden Avenue in the historic Hearst Church. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and major holidays through October 5. The gallery is the seasonal home for Grant County Art Guild's 41 member artists and fine crafters to show their work. Both browsers and buyers are welcome.
