Silver City P.E.O. Chapter BR will host the third annual Purse and Silent Auction on Saturday, October 18 at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 1915 N. Swan St. in Silver City. The “Purses for Every Occasion” event will begin at 1:00 pm for viewing of purses and silent auction items and an opportunity to partake of light hors d’oeuvres and drinks. All profits benefit the Nancy Champlin P.E.O Foundation Scholarship for Grant County high school female seniors who plan to continue their education at an accredited college or university.

Auctioneer Danna Stout again promises to keep a lively pace for both the Purse and Silent Auction. One hundred purses are available, each one filled with surprises, including a purse donated by Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of the NBC Today show. No peeking allowed! Tickets for the event are $10 and may be available at the door. Contact Mimi Clark, 563-650-1029 to buy tickets in advance or to obtain further information.
