Juan Felipe Herrera will speak about his life and work at WNMU Light Hall, 900 W. College Avenue, Silver City NM

Free and open to the public, but seating is limited and tickets are required at the door. Reserve your seat by picking up your free ticket at the WNMU Cultural Affairs Office in Hunter Hall, off 10th and West Street on the WNMU campus. Out-of-town patrons may call 575-538-6469 to arrange for a will-call ticket

Juan Felipe Herrera is the 21st Poet Laureate of the United States (2015-2017) and the first Latino to hold the position. He is also a performance artist and activist on behalf of migrant and indigenous communities and at risk youth.
