Silver City Museum invites you to an 'Evening in Spain' exclusive dinner: a Spanish themed fundraiser to include a VIP museum tour and delicious Spanish meal with a live performance of Spanish guitar music.

You are invited to be transported away to an evening in Spain and enjoy a private tour of the museum and a delightful dinner at Café 1zero6 on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 to benefit the Silver City Museum's exhibition and education programs.

The evening will begin with a private tour of the newest exhibition Flamenco: From Spain to New Mexico by museum director Carmen Vendelin at 5:30. The exhibition is the first ever to show the history and development of flamenco and its treasured role within the cultural environment of New Mexico and will be the largest, interactive exhibit the museum has hosted to date.

Guests will then travel from the museum to Café 1zero6 (106 North Texas Street), where entertainment will begin at 6:30 followed by dinner served at 7:00 PM. Chef Jake Politte has crafted a beautiful menu of traditional Spanish cuisine and a decadent dessert that will have your taste buds swearing they are in Seville. The menu will include: Gambas al Ajillo, Paella de Carne, Ensalada de Invierno, Pequeños Pasteles y Café. Well-loved, local performer Farhad Arasteh will play classical Spanish guitar starting at 6:30 and during the meal to complete your Flamenco experience.

This special tour, entertainment, and dinner will take place Wednesday, January 24, 2018, starting at 5:30 at the museum, followed by Spanish Guitar entertainment at 6:30, and dinner at 7:00. Tickets are for sale in the Silver City Museum Society store for $150 per person. Space is limited for this delightful Spanish evening.

Purchase tickets over the phone by calling 575-538-5921 (extension 2) or in person at the Silver City Museum Society Store, Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Flamenco: From Spain to New Mexico has been organized by the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe and is touring through GuestCurator Traveling Exhibitions, with generous support by Heritage Hotels and Resorts. The exhibition will run from January 13, 2018 through May 28, 2018.
