SILVER CITY, NM – What's cooler than a Silver City winter? Arctic Vogue, the theme of this year's Black Tie Ball, presented by the Mimbres Region Arts Council. On Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 8:00 PM, Lawley Automotive, Gila Hike and Bike, Western New Mexico University and the Friends of the Black Tie Ball are pleased to host the 2018 Black Tie Ball at the Grant County Conference Center. The fund raising event will benefit Mimbres Region Arts Council's arts education programs for children and youth in Grant County.

Everyone, 21 years and older, is invited for a fabulous evening of desserts, drinks and dancing. A champagne toast, delectable delights from Bad Ass Bakery and a cash bar offered by Little Toad Brewery and Distillery will accompany everyone's favorite dance music provided by Silver City's own DJ Thaitech. White, silver or blue attire is suggested for those with Arctic tastes! But, as always, dress is formal or fabulous.

Tickets are $50/person and available at Lawley Toyota, Curl Up & Dye, Adobe Springs, Leyba & Ingalls Arts and online at www.mimbresarts.org, or the MRAC office 575 538-2505.

About the Black Tie Ball

Over 30 years ago, a group of friends started the Black Tie Ball as a way of celebrating friendship and life in our community. Eventually, it became so popular that the Friends of the Black Tie turned it into a fundraiser to support the many efforts of the Mimbres Region Arts Council. The tradition carries on, with elegant themes and partygoers dressing in their finest or most fabulous attire.

This Year's Inspiration

The edgy theme for the 2018 Black Tie was inspired by a holiday window display at a department store in New York City. Arctic Vogue brings to mind crystal palaces, Ice Queens, and white, frosty blue and silver shimmer.
