They may be on the verge of doing a tango.Theater goers attending the Friday or Saturday performances of "Relationships in Revue," August 17 and 18, at the Silver City Woman's Club, 411 Silver Heights Blvd, will receive a sampling of the best of theatre, of the human heart, and of musical expression, according to director Wendy Spurgeon.

A member of the Silver City Community Theater, Spurgeon had struck up a conversation with the new director of the Silver Chorale, Bryce Wooton.

"Bryce and his beautiful wife Sherry have mastered a number of duets. Both are consummate musicians. When we looked for a theme linking those duets, the thread of relationships was clear. Relationships include the frustrating, the hilarious and sometimes messy places where we find ourselves with partners, friends, rivals, and family."

Spurgeon paused to recall the process of weaving an evening from moments of individual inspiration. "Another talented musician, Gaye Rock, joined the group and expanded the repertoire. Then Thomas Leeper and Becky Carr, two fine actors from recent Community Theatre successes, added pathos and comedy to the sung lyrics. Relationships, we discovered, describe most of our humanity and most of performance art."

Each performer will serve as introducer of the following piece. Bryce and Gaye, a teacher of piano, will alternate at the keyboard.

Tickets will be sold at the door. To benefit their scholarship fund, the Woman's Club will sell refreshments during intermission of the two-hour performance.

"The magic will begin at 7 p.m., both performances," says Community Theatre president Ted Presler. "It's not too late to invite a friend or two. The day after the performance you'll be enjoying memories of a superb evening before."
