Free this weekend at Syzygy Tile

SILVER CITY, July 17— Create something beautiful for a good cause! On Saturday, July 20, from 10 am – 4 pm, visit Syzygy Tile at 106 N Bullard Street, and make your own clay bowl to contribute to the bi-annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser to be held in October. The bowls are hand- crafted by community members during the Clay Festival, glazed during the Gila River Festival, and then sold (filled with homemade soups) at the fundraiser in October.

Proceeds from the October event will benefit the several food pantries operated by The Commons: Center for Food Security and Sustainability. Come on down to Syzygy Tile this weekend and try your hand at some hand-made art. Join the ranks of local heroes working to help feed the hungry in our community. No experience is necessary, and demonstrations will be held throughout the day. For more information: https://clayfestival.com/empty-bowls.
