Mining District News

by Mary Walker

It is with a very heavy heart that I write the following.
Bayard, The Mining District and Silver City will feel a great loss with the passing of Louis Baum. Many of you know Louis as owner of a.i.r. Coffee and as Bayard City Councilman. Louis was in a multiple car accident in a dust/sand storm outside of Pecos, TX. Louis will be missed.
It is my understanding that the Saturday, December 22 event will still take place. It might, however, change a bit. I will keep this column updated as information changes. Please do not contact the phone number on the article as that is Louis' number.
