Little Toad Creek Distillery and Brewery celebrated its downtown opening with a ribbon cutting by the Silver City-Grant County Chamber of Commerce on Saturday. Several members of the chamber were in attendance. In the center are owners Teresa Dahl-Bredine and David Crosley, cutting the ribbon.

Chamber president Scott Terry and member Mike Morones thanked Dahl-Bredine and Crossley for making the financial investment to bring people back to downtown on a Saturday and other afternoons. Morones said he had known Dahl-Bredine as a kid on the schoolbus and had had Crosley's father as his 7th-grade teacher. "It is wonderful to see locals growing up to invest in a business to serve locals," Morones said.

Dahl-Bredine also emphasized that they were intent on promoting New Mexico products, including New Mexico-grown beef and their own as well as other New Mexico breweries' beers, wines and liquors.
