The Western Bank employees sponsored a challenge to raise money for local cancer patients receiving treatment at the Gila Regional Cancer Center. The results or their generous donation  are more free lunches will be served to patients and more gas money available to those patients who travel for their treatments to the Cancer Center.

In 2008, the GRMC Auxiliary volunteers began the Cancer Center Lunch Program. Over 400 free meals a year that nourish body and soul are served to cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, infusion or radiation treatment at the GRMC Cancer Center.

These programs are funded by community donations large and small. "Thank you Western Bank for your continued support of the GRMC Auxiliary Cancer Center Lunch Program and the GRMC Foundation Cancer Center Guardian Angel Program," stated Mike Torres, Director of the Cancer Center. "We and the patients are most grateful."
