On Saturday, March 29, a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house was held at the Drifter Motel to celebrate the remodeling of guest rooms and the beginning of a new extended-stay business model for the motel. The Drifter Hotel has a long history in Silver City as an overnight motel. The motel now rents rooms to guests staying for several weeks or a month. Cutting the ribbon is motel owner Denise Yeilding, surrounded by some of her staff and members of the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce. (Courtesy Photo)
