Serina also earned several other distinguished national awards at the conference including 2nd place national finish in the competitive event-Entrepreneurship for her plan to take her literacy initiative "Read for Joy" into a non-profit business. She also received the Ambassador Torch Award-this highest torch award offered by BPA for service and leadership. This is the fourth time to earn this honor in her six years of membership. She was awarded the "National Service Learning Award" for a third time and also received the President's Volunteer Service Gold Award, receiving a certificate signed by President Obama and a gold pin medallion. She received a scholarship and was a top 10 national finalist in Public Speaking. Serina especially wants to thank Mrs. Agnew, of Cliff High School, for making her BPA journey possible.
