    A public meeting is being held to answer questions regarding the Draft Wildlife Restoration Plan and Environmental Assessment for the Chino, Cobre and Tyrone Mine Facilities, which evaluates potential restoration projects that will restore, replace or acquire the equivalent of wildlife and wildlife habitat that were injured by the release of hazardous substances from the three mines.

    MRAC Gallery Opening of the FeVa Fotos photography exhibit: "Ft. Bayard: New Mexico’s Newest Ghost Town.”

    The Ft. Bayard Historic Preservation Society will have members attending the reception to answer questions about Ft Bayard and the current efforts to save this national landmark.

    The exhibit will also be open for viewing from 9 till 4:30, Tuesday through Friday, through February 28.

    The Wild & Scenic Film Festival, now in its 10th year, is a collection of films from the annual festival held the third week of January in Nevada City, CA. Wild & Scenic focuses on films that speak to the environmental concerns and celebrations of our planet.

    Featured at the tour venue in Silver City are films that highlight the beauty and importance of water, wild rivers and watersheds and the community efforts to protect these critical resources.  Always funny and entertaining, Charris Ford, star of the film French Fries to Go, will emcee the film festival again this year.

    Free raffle. Refreshments provided by Javalina, Silver City Food Co-op and CLIF Bar.
