If you look at the figures, the Student Activities fee, the one that student government votes in, actually decreased from 38.24 to 35.78. There are two other student fees that the administration controls Bond repayment that increased from 11.66 tom 31.66 and an administration fee of 6.88. All of these charges are for credit hour.

The big thing is that the University is calculating tuition and fees different from past years. Before if you took between 12 and 18 hours you paid 12 times the one hour tuition and fees. Now if you take 13 hours you pay 13 times the one hour charge, 14 hours 14 times, 15 to 18 hours 13.5 times the one hour charge.

I estimate that this new way of calculating tuition and fees will bring in about an extra $534,312 in tuition and $270,000 in student fees the fall semester.
