Mary Guthrie is announcing that she is seeking the position of Grant County Assessor in the upcoming primary June election. "My vision is to serve, you, the public to the best of my ability."

Today Mary Guthrie is currently your Grant County Assessor. Due to her vast experience, she was recommended by the former Assessor, Randy Villa, and appointed by the Grant County Commissioners to fulfill a term vacated by the former Assessor.

Mary has served as Chief Deputy Assessor, Chief Appraiser, as well as having been employed by Grant County Assessor's Office for the past 29 years. In addition, she has earned the designation as a Certified Appraiser since 1988. Due to her extensive knowledge of the Assessor's Office she understands all aspects of appraising property values, as well as managing the functions within the Assessor's Office. She understands the needs of commercial and residential taxpayers having been a business owner and home owner. She is knowledgeable of State Statutes and Regulations that govern the Assessor's Office.

Mary has lived in Grant County for nearly 34 years. She is married to Jason Guthrie and has a 17 year old son, Jalin.
