My name is Moses Clark. I am running for Grant County Commissioner District 1, Democrat, because I love Grant County and the people that live here. As a life long, 37 year, resident of New Mexico, I understand what it means to be part of this diverse and rural community. I was born in Santa Fe and shortly thereafter moved with my parents to Grant County. I grew up backpacking and camping in the Gila National Forest and playing in our steams and rivers, and I value them as key factors in the intrinsic and economic prosperity of Grant County.

I graduated from Western New Mexico University with a Bachelors Degree in Operations Management and Supervision with a minor in Economics. As a single parent raising a teenage son and daughter, I recognize the economic hardships that many in our community face.

I believe that Open and Transparent Government is crucial, and it would be best achieved through a community based decision-making process. Public meetings as well as an open-door policy would be utilized to determine what is needed, as well as a means for staying in touch with my fellow residents.

Moses can be contacted by email at mclark@spiritearth.net or by cell phone at (575) 654-6300 and on Facebook at Moses Clark.

The primary election is June 3, 2014, and the general election is on November 4, 2014.
