Sherry Logan, who became the Silver City-Grant County Executive Director in mid-December, has notified the Chamber Board of Directors that she will be leaving the Chamber at the end of April due her husband’s recent retirement and their desire to be closer to family in California.  Chamber President, Trent Petty, commented that the Board hates to see Sherry leave the Chamber as she has been doing an exceptional job in the short time that she has been the Executive Director.  Sherry had already started to grow the Chamber membership and was having various Chamber events to promote the community and businesses. Petty said: "Sherry’s positive attitude and numerous ideas created a very positive business climate for our membership."

In order to assist with the transition process for a new Executive Director, Sherry will be working on a part-time basis through the end of April.

The Chamber Board has started advertising the Executive Director’s position on their website:  SilverCity.org

Anybody interested in applying can also contact the Chamber at 575-538-3785 and submit a letter of interest along with a resume to: careers@silvercity.org
