Situation:  Crews are making good progress against the McKenny Fire, which has grown to approximately 200 acres. Water drops from the USFS helicopter  and air tankers have been very effective in the rugged, inaccessible terrain and crews are conducting a burn out at this time. Temperatures and wind speeds have dropped, also aiding suppression efforts. The fire is burning in the vicinity of McKenny Road near the old Quail Ridge Fire area near Silver City.
