MEXICO AND WESTERN TEXAS...

.A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SOUTHWARD ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO AND
WESTERN TEXAS EARLY MONDAY WHILE AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM ENTERS THE REGION FROM THE WEST TOMORROW AND TUESDAY. IN
ADDITION MOIST UNSTABLE AIR WILL FLOW INTO THE AREA. THIS WEATHER
PATTERN WILL GENERATE WIDESPREAD SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY
WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS RESULTING IN FLASH FLOODING OVER A FEW
LOCATIONS.

ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF NM...INCLUDING THE
  FOLLOWING AREAS...EASTERN BLACK RANGE FOOTHILLS...LOWLANDS OF
  THE BOOTHEEL...SOUTHERN GILA FOOTHILLS/MIMBRES VALLEY...
  SOUTHERN GILA HIGHLANDS/BLACK RANGE...SOUTHWEST DESERT/LOWER
  GILA RIVER VALLEY...SOUTHWEST DESERT/MIMBRES BASIN...UPLANDS
  OF THE BOOTHEEL AND UPPER GILA RIVER VALLEY.

* FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON

* HEAVY RAINS WILL BE LIKELY ACROSS THE SILVER FIRE AND WHITEWATER
  BALDY FIRE BURN SCARS RESULTING IN SERIOUS FLOODING OVER
  SURROUNDING LOCATIONS. CREEKS AND DRAINAGES MAY EXPERIENCE
  RAPIDLY RISING WATER FILLED WITH DEBRIS...LOGS AND ASH THAT
  COULD FLOOD AREAS DOWNSTREAM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
