* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  GRANT COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST NEW MEXICO...

* UNTIL 1000 PM MDT

* AT 605 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE
  WARNED AREA.


* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  CITY OF ROCKS STATE PARK...
  SILVER CITY...
  SAN LORENZO...
  REDROCK...
  LAKE ROBERTS...
  GILA HOT SPRINGS...
  BUCKHORN...
  EMORY PASS...
  COONEY...
  RIVERSIDE...
  BILL EVANS LAKE...
  IRON CREEK CAMPGROUND...
  ROCKY CANYON CAMPGROUND...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. DO
NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN
DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE.

FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT NEAR THE SILVER FIRE AND THE
WHITEWATER BALDY FIRE BURN SCARS. RAPID RISES IN WATER AND QUICK
MOVING DEBRIS FLOWS ARE POSSIBLE. AVOID CREEKS AND DRAINAGES NEAR
BURNED AREAS. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND QUICKLY. IF CAUGHT BY FLASH
FLOODING OR DEBRIS FLOWS...CALL 911.

IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS
FLOODED ROADS. IT ONLY TAKES A FEW INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO
CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
