Flash Flood Watch extended through the morning of July 27

...ABUNDANT MOISTURE AND SATURATED GROUND WILL LEAD TO POSSIBLE
FLASH FLOODING ACROSS THE AREA TODAY...

.FOR THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS MUCH OF THE AREA HAS RECEIVED MODERATE
TO HEAVY RAINS. MANY LOCATIONS ACROSS THE REGION HAVE SATURATED
GROUND CONDITIONS. MORE RAIN IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATER THIS
AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. THE ATMOSPHERE STILL HAS ABUNDANT MOISTURE
AND WILL LEAD TO THUNDERSTORMS THAT CAN VERY QUICKLY PRODUCE ONE
TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN. THIS RAIN FALLING ON SATURATED GROUND
WOULD QUICKLY LEAD TO EXCESSIVE RUNOFF AND FLASH FLOODING.

  BELOW 7500 FEET...EASTERN BLACK RANGE FOOTHILLS...LOWLANDS OF
  THE BOOTHEEL...NORTHERN DONA ANA COUNTY...OTERO MESA...
  SACRAMENTO MOUNTAINS ABOVE 7500 FEET...SIERRA COUNTY LAKES...

  RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS. ALSO THE WET SOIL WILL
  MAKE TREES MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO TOPPLING IN ANY STRONG WIND
  GUSTS.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
