Situation:  Crews have been able to stop the spread of the fire. The fast moving fire was burning toward the Pecos River but crews were able to knock it down before it reached the banks. The fire is smoldering in some areas, with very little activity observed. Crews will remain on scene this evening looking for hot spots and will continue to build and strengthen containment lines. The cause is under investigation. No size was given at last report.
