Valencia County Fires Information

Situation: Fire Crews in Valencia County are responding to two wildfires at this time.

One four-acre fire along the clear ditch near Gabaldon Road has several structures threatened but no evacuations have been asked for. A helicopter and other resources currently assigned to the Rec Fire on the Isleta Pueblo have been diverted to assist with this fire.

Another fire that was burning along the East Mesa and is approximately 2 acres and crews have been able to stop forward progress on it. Crews are now mopping up the fire areas.
