The Teen Maze of 2014 was held Tuesday and Wednesday, April 8 and 9. The event, hosted by the Grant County DWI Program, challenges students from high school and middle school to learn the consequences of bad choices in their lives.à^

Some areas used peer pressure, some gave the students a choice of several options, others had students draw a consequence from a box or spin a wheel to learn the consequence. Signs, such as Juvenile Delinquent, were placed on the students. Others became "pregnant," and had to wear and carry a weighted vest to simulate pregnancy.

A "jail," "hospital," "judge's bench," "Juvenile Probation and Parole Office," were on site for students to work on community service or be cuffed and go to jail.

The "debriefing room" by compiling the "choices" made by the student helped each create a budget and then learn what careers might be closed to them because of bad choices.
