Gold Star Mothers to serve as July 4th Parade Grand Marshals

As the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce plans for the 2014 Independence Day Celebration, one item for the event has been finalized. The three Gold Star Mothers in Grant County have agreed to serve as Grand Marshals for the July 4th Parade.

Scott Terry, chamber president, stated, "We are honored that Kay Beeman, Mary Cowan, and Mary Lou Grijalva have agreed to serve as our Grand Marshals. Our theme this year is Stars and Stripes Forever. Quite honestly, we want to honor the sacrifices of these women and their families forever as well."

Registration forms for the Independence Day Parade and the Vendor Booths can be picked up at the chamber offices, the forms can be emailed to people, or you can click on the links below. For more information you can call Scott Terry at 575-538-3785.
