QUEMADO, NM, June 15, 2014, 12:00 p.m. – The Bowl Fire on the Quemado Ranger District of the Gila National Forest was reported by the Fox Mountain Lookout Saturday afternoon. A quick dispatch and response enabled firefighters to contain the lightning-caused fire at 10 acres. The fire is located two and a half miles northeast of Quemado Lake.

Personnel assigned to the incident include one hot shot crew, two helicopters and two air tankers. Firefighters will be mopping up and working to ensure firelines are secure.

The forecast shows hot and dry weather remaining across the area with a chance of an isolated storm.
