The Ranger Districts reported that they all received scattered rain showers and some thundershowers with lightning. Precipitation amounts were variable over the Forest. Two new starts were detected yesterday.

Reserve Ranger District:

Elk Mountain 0.1 Acres New start 7/2-crews are hiking into fire today

Black Range District:

Alex Fire 6.5 Acres Updated acreage—fire contained and crews coming off today

Wilderness District:

Bailey Fire 0.1 Acres Controlled and out

Cienaga Fire New start—received precip on fire, recon continuing today
