Silver City Active Neighborhoods Program ("SCAN")
Building a More Resilient Silver City
Project Applications Available Now

And, the Silver City Report
A Town Newsletter

The Silver City Neighborhood Alliance introduces the Silver City Active Neighborhoods Program on September 1, 2014. Neighbors who partner, write a mission statement and complete an eligible project for their neighborhood may win a $500 award in March, 2015.

Neighborhoods can win by writing and doing an exercise with a neighborhood evacuation plan, making an area FireWise or FireAdapted, building a community garden, designing and building a water management system, or even conducting a holiday decorating contest. Registration, project application, and evaluation forms that will be used by the Alliance are available at www.scneighborsalliance.org.

September also marks the first release of the new Silver City Report, a quarterly newsletter published by the Neighborhood Alliance in cooperation with the Town of Silver City. The Silver City Report is chock full of news from our mayor, town manager and councilors. Print copies will be available in public buildings and meeting places and on-line at www.townofsilvercity.org and www.scneighborsalliance.org.

Questions may be directed to the Neighborhood Alliance at scneighborsalliance@gmail.com.
