Antonio “Tony” R. Sepulveda, 65, a resident of Hurley, NM entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family.  

He was born December 5, 1948 in Silver City, NM to Miguel and Teresa Rodriguez Sepulveda.  

Tony “Torino” enjoyed spending many summers coaching baseball and softball and youth wrestling.  He spent many hours on the field and off coaching, teaching and encouraging kids.  He treated all the kids as if they were his own.  He never missed going to any of his children’s games.  Everyone knew Torino would have snacks and drinks for them if they didn’t have them.  His other passion was spent singing and playing the guitar.  He sang in church with the Rondalla and with the choir groups. He worked for 43 yrs and retired as a mechanic at the Santa Rita mine.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Norma of the family home; two daughters, Sonia Sepulveda of Albuquerque; Ana Sepulveda of Hurley; three grandchildren, Aujanae Dominguez, Caedyn Dominguez and Alexis Sepulveda; one sister, Rosalie Alirez of Bayard; his nephew, Michael Alirez.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Anthony Sepulveda 2011; one brother, Blas Sepulveda.  

The Prayer Vigil and Holy Rosary will be celebrated Wednesday, March 12 at 2pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Deacon David Castañon reciting. Concluding service inurnment will follow at Hurley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gila Regional Cancer Center 1313 E. 32nd St. Silver City, NM 88061.  Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
