Hugh Harley "Sonny" Hislop, 77, Deming resident passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at his home.

No services will be held . Cremation will take place at Baca's Mimbres Crematory.

Sonny was born February 9, 1937 in Muskegon, Michigan to Louise Bomers and Hugh Hislop. He served his country Honorably in the United States Marine Corps. Sonny was a Deming resident since 1999 coming from Silver City and had worked as a miner.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene of the home; a son, Heath Hislop of Albuquerque; a daughter, Debra Houston Terry of Tucson, Arizona and 2 grandchildren, Dustin and Devin Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Louise Hislop, his grandma Bomers and Jingles.
