Raymond Moss Lewis, 72, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Friday, March 7, 2014 at his residence.  

He was born May 12, 1941 in Stroud, OK to Buster and Beth Moss Lewis.  Raymond lived in Guam during his teenage years.  Raymond proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.  He started working at the Tyrone mine in 1969 with Phelps Dodge.  During that time Raymond worked as a Heavy Equipment operator and also worked as a truck driver until 1993.  In 1993 he went to Chino to work in the Santa Rita Pit as a truck driver.  He worked there for six more years and retired in 1999.  He loved playing poker card games.  He had a love for muscle cars, street bikes, bowling and fishing.   He loved and adored his grandkids.  He loved watching wrestling with his grandson Michael.

He is survived by two daughters, Natalie Webb and husband Daniel of Silver City; Michelle Lewis and companion Tim Hernandez of Silver City; five grandchildren, Michael, Alyssa, Jacob, Eric and Alayna; one sister, Judy Gibson of Sacramento, CA.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 29 years, Sharon Lewis (’96), his twin sister, Terrie Trial, three brothers, Frank, Tommy and Alfred Dunn.  No service will be held by family request. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
