Olivia S. "Libby" Aquino, 68, resident of Lordsburg, passed away Sunday March 16, 2014 at her home.

Visitation will be this Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 5 to 6 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where a prayer vigil will begin at 6 o’clock led by Alice Ramirez. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday morning at 10 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Machado officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Libby was born August 21, 1945 in Morenci, Arizona to Lauterio and Esther Robles Sierra. She came to Lordsburg from Morenci 14 years ago and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Libby was a homemaker and always enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joe Aquino of Lordsburg; daughter, Paula Inge of Deming; sons, Lawrence Aquino (Trisha) of Silver City, Joe Aquino III (Sheryl) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and 9 grandchildren.

Libby was preceded in death by her parents, Lauterio and Esther, 3 sisters, Chelo, Licha and Bessie, 2 brothers, Pete and Gilbert, and by her son in law, David Inge. Pallbearers will be Dan Anaya, Anthony Aquino, Kolby Aquino, Frank Camacho, Frank Gomez, and Jesus Zapata. Honorary bearers are Walker Wenzel and Lawrence Aquino II.
