Chester Joseph Sikorski, 87, Deming resident passed away Tuesday April 1, 2014 at University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

As were his wishes no services will be held.

Chester was born March 8, 1927 in Lackawanna, New York to Magdelena Irla and Joseph Sikorski. He served his country honorably in the United States Army, serving during World War II. Chester was a welder and a Deming resident for 29 years.

His hobbies were riding his four wheeler and rock hunting. He also made jewelry out of the semiprecious stones he collected.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sandy of the home; his; nieces, Helena Trabulsi and husband Sam of Canada, Jane Sawicki of Lackawanna, New York; nephew, Henry Piotrowski and wife Colleen of Brampton Ontario, Canada and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Frank, Joseph and Bill; and 3 sisters Honey, Loretta and Jean.
