Ruth Naomi Wilcox Pratz, 86, a longtime resident of Deming passed away Thursday April 3, 2014 in Las Cruces.

Visitation was held Monday April 7, 2014 from 5 to 7 at Baca's Funeral Chapels. Funeral services were Tuesday morning at 10 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Byers, Pastor, officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.

She was born May 7, 1927 in Greenbrier, AR to Gladys and Morris Wilcox. She married Lloyd Pratz and raised their family in Deming. She was a member at First Baptist Church and was a proprietor in a furniture store for many years.

Surviving her are 2 sons, Gary (Nina) Pratz, Albuquerque and Rod (Grace) Pratz of Deming and a daughter, Diane Pratz of Deming; 4 grandsons, Rodney Bryan of Tulsa, OK and Kyle (Tracy) of Las Cruces, Jordan and Jason of Albuquerque ; 2 great-granddaughters, Ashtyn of Las Cruces and Rylee of Albuquerque; sister, Ruby Joyce Fewell, Deming and brothers, Teddy Wilcox, Greenbrier, AR and Charles, (Brenda) Wilcox of Payson, AZ; sister-in-law, Helen Wilcox, Deming; numerous nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Lloyd Pratz; brother, Johnny Wilcox; 2 infant sisters, Sue Ellen and Barbara Ann Wilcox; sisters-in-law, Irma and Sally Wilcox and brother-in-law, Melbourne Fewell.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rod, Gary, Bryan, Jason and Jordan Pratz and Dan Upton. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Pratz, Teddy, Charles and Helen Wilcox.
