David G. Torres, 59, lifelong Deming resident, passed away Thursday April 3, 2014 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will begin Monday April 7, 2014 at 1 o'clock at Baca's Funeral Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2 o'clock with Deacon Jerry Miller officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

David was born April 22, 1954 in Deming to Consuelo (Giron) and Mike M. Torres. He had attended Deming Public Schools and had worked at Wal-Mart in Tucson, AZ.

Survivors include his son, Gilbert Torres (Angelica Cota) of Tucson; a daughter, Olivia Torres (Frank Lopez) of Tucson; a brother, Mike Torres and his wife Amparo of Deming; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Consuelo Torres, a son, David Pete Jr. and a brother, Richard.

Pallbearers will be John Mooradian, Frank Lopez, Kenny Garcia, Jimmy Quarrel, Gilbert and Richard M. Torres.
