Cassy Marie (Brooks) Farrington, 23, of Silver City and formerly of Pima, Arizona, went to be with the Lord on Monday March 24, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, April 5, at 2 p.m. at the Safford Church of Christ by Grant Standefer. Concluding services will follow in the Safford Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday evening, April 4, from 6 until 8 p.m., at the Vining Funeral Home, and Saturday afternoon, April 5, from 1 until 2 p.m. at the Safford Church of Christ.

She was born December 22, 1990, in Safford, Arizona to Marc "Chuck" and Darlene Brooks. She is the second oldest of four children. She graduated from high school in Pima, Arizona in three years. She was a member of FBLA and the National Honor Society. She played sports, including volleyball, basketball, track, softball and poms and she participated in the summer swim team. She won the Mini Miss Graham County title. She also took dance classes for five years, her favorite being ballet. She started college her freshman year of high school. After graduating from high school, she went on to complete her associate degree and received her RN degree from Western New Mexico University. She worked at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City as a RN and continued her education toward completing her BSN, all the while raising her two small children and working full-time as an RN. Cassy's favorite flower was the sunflower. She enjoyed reading books, dancing and camping with her family. Her two kids, Tristan and Lila, were her pride and joy.

Cassy is survived by her husband, Bradley Scott Farrington and their two children, Tristan Scott and Lila Zoey Marie "Bean;" her parents, Marc "Chuck" and Darlene Brooks; her two brothers, Eric Brooks (Chavel) and CodyBo Brooks (Dakota); her sister, Elizabeth; her grandmother, Ella Marie Brooks; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Cassy was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Walter R. Brooks and Lowell "Sonny" Scott; her grandmother, Nellie Donham; and her step-grandfather, Emmett Donham.
