Lucy Montoya Norero, 69 a resident of Bayard passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

The Holy Rosary will be recited Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10 O'clock in the morning at San Lorenzo Catholic Church with the Memorial Mass to follow at 10:30. Concluding services and inurnment will follow at San Lorenzo Cemetery. Fr. Robert Becerra will be Officiating.

Lucy was born December 27, 1944 in Santa Rita, NM to Nicanor Montoya and Margarita Salaiz Montoya. She loved to sing, dance, take gambling trips to the casino and buy toys for her great-grandsons. She is a beloved mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by Felix Norero of the home; daughters, Nakine Norero of Las Cruces, Lisa Norero of Deming; son, Felix Norero Jr. and a very special daughter in-law Liz Barela of the home; grandsons, Steven Norero and Freddie Estrada; great-grandson, Antonio Norero; brothers, Fred Montoya (Nellie), Danny Montoya (Glenda), Johnny Montoya (Brenda) and Cipriano Montoya; sisters, Minnie Rodriguez (Federico), Carmen Barron (Tom), Rosie Bueño (Ray), Lupe Chavez (David) and many, many friends.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Nicanor D. and Margarita S. Montoya and brother Nick Montoya.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Steven Norero, Freddie Estrada, Tony Norero and Mary Helen Rodriguez.
